Sixth of seven brothers, his infancy passed in Cuenca, where it
realized his first studies. To her give of 9 years one moved Zaragoza,
where it deals studies of average education and the career of Medicine,
that retired after dealing five years. Disoriented in his vocation he
devotes himself to the accomplishment of film shorts, from 1976. The
first one of them: "Compañera te doy" the same year; those that they
follow: "Canto a la libertad para terceto de cuerda" (1977), "Cuento
para un pueblo dormido" (1977), with script of Concepción Arias, his
sentimental partner in those days, and that collaborated also as
scriptwriter in his later works as: "Canción de cuna" (1978) and "La
metamorfosis" (1980), cinematographic adjustment of Franz Kafka's
statement. In 1983 he realizes the documentary "Luis Marco Pérez" and
in 1985 he joins in TVE, first as documentary maker the Department of
Audio-visual Documentation, and later in the Canal 24 Horas of the
Informative Services, as producer. There it will realize several works
as "Charlton Heston, el último héroe"(2001) and "Juan XXIII, un Papa
distinto" (2003). He is also a doctor of Medicine for the University of
Alcalá de Henares (Madrid), which studies finally he concluded after
the years; as well as doctor in Hebrew Philology, for the Universidad
Complutense of Madrid, and he has written his doctoral thesis, about
the translation to "Abraham Ibn Ezra's Commentary on Song of Songs".
His current sentimental partner is the journalist Cristina Alonso
Sevillano, mother of his two daughters: Isabel and Irene.
