Kalin Nikolov(II)

Born in Sofia, Bulgaria, Kalin Nikolov is a graduate of the
National School of Arts in Varna. Kalin has created original music
scores for over twenty theater plays. The more popular ones include
William Shakespear's The Tempest, Macbeth and King Lear, Peter Weiss's
Marat/Sade, Martin McDonagh's The Pillowman, Edward Albee's The Play
about the Baby, and Hanoch Levin's The Old Woman from Calcutta. Kalin
has received several national awards for his music composition work. In
addition to his music score writing for theatrical plays, radio plays
and visual performances, Kalin has worked on ten short films:
Bedspotting, Oh Sweet Home of Mine / Discovery Channel Redone, Clay
People, I Like Your Smile, March, 34, SoulMate, The Baked Pumpkin, and
One Coffee. Kalin also composed the original soundtrack of the
award-winning feature film, Zift, which was Bulgaria's submission in
the Best Foreign Language Film category at the 2009 Academy Awards.
