- Born in Phoenix, Arizona, Matt Frieberg had planned on an illustrious career as a professional baseball player. However, after attending several talent shows in the Czech Republic in 1998, he began his acting career when he discovered his gift for acting. In 1999, Matt put his college education and acting career on hold to enlist in the US Army for two years as a 19D Cavalry Scout in Kentucky and Kansas. He received an honorable discharge in May 2001, but after that tragic day on September 11, 2001, Frieberg decided to re-enter the military as an officer. He received his B.A. degree in Theatre from California State University, Fullerton in 2004 and shipped out to the US Army helicopter flight school at Ft. Rucker, Alabama. Matt is currently serving in the California Army National Guard as a commissioned officer and pilots the UH-60 Blackhawk helicopter. - Deployed to Iraq in support of Operation New Dawn from 2010-11 as a Blackhawk helicopter pilot. Received the Combat Action Badge and Air Medal for his actions in a combat environment.
