Michelle Elyse
Michelle Elyse was born on July 20, 1989 in Manhattan's Upper East Side
and shortly thereafter moved with her parents Jackie Espinal and
Benjamin Espinal to South America where they lived in Venezuela, Costa
Rica, Mexico, and the Dominican Republic. After the Dominican Republic
she spent her elementary school years in Miami Florida. After Florida
it was back to New York City where she completed High School on the
Upper West Side of Manhattan where she was the captain of the varsity
fencing team and a member of the debate and tennis teams. She also
studied at Stella Adler Conservatory and Princeton University's
McCarter Theater.
Michelle's strong desire to effect change in this world led her to participate in internships with Senator Hillary Clinton and Ten Thousand Villages, an organization dedicated to economic equality in developing nations.
Michelle knew that she wanted to be an actress at the age of 4 when she would stand on top of makeshift stages and recite poetry. At the age of 9 she went up against Mara Woods for the lead role in 'Thomas and the Magic Railroad'. Her acting career continued at Miami's Coconut Grove Playhouse and The Florida State Philarmonic where she played a number of roles.
As a teenager in Manhattan's Upper East side Michelle performed to critical acclaim at the famed Center Stage Equity Theater, McCarter Theater, and Summer Stock Shakespeare Festival with the highly respected Princeton Rep Company next to actors such as Michael Sorvino of the Sorvino family.
Michelle recently moved to Los Angeles where she starred in the stirring drama 'Hope' by emerging young director Michael Wood.
