Hugues Ricour

Originally from France, Hugues Ricour (Ubisoft Singapore - Ubisoft France) has produced several best-selling and award-winning games on famous franchises: Need For Speed, FIFA and Assassin's Creed.
Hugues Ricour entered the gaming industry in 1999 while working for Infogrames, producing racing games. He then joined the Electronic Arts Black Box studio as an associate producer and designed the Drag mode for NFS Underground. After handling the pre-production of NFS Most Wanted, he joined EA Sports and the FIFA team to produce FIFA 06 and FIFA 07, leading the rewrite of physics and AI. Hugues Ricour then produced and launched FIFA Online 1 and 2 in Asia, the first EA Sports PC Free To Play games, in collaboration with Korean developer Neowiz. The sports card trading and monetization system, which later inspired the famous Ultimate Team mode, was born.
Hugues Ricour then joined Ubisoft Singapore in 2009 to lead Ghost Recon Online, a Free To Play PC game. As production director, Hugues Ricour oversaw the Ubisoft Singapore, Ubisoft Chengdu and Ubisoft Philippines collaboration teams to co-develop Assassin's Creed III, Assassin's Creed IV Black Flag, Assassin's Creed Rogue, Assassin's Creed Unity, Assassin's Creed Syndicate, Assassin's Creed Origins and Assassin's Creed Odyssey, in partnership with Canadian studios Ubisoft, to innovate and produce naval battle gameplay.
In 2018, Hugues Ricour became Managing Director of Ubisoft Singapore and Ubisoft Philippines. The studios released, in collaboration with Ubisoft Montreal, Assassin's Creed Valhalla.
In 2020, Hugues Ricour is Production Intelligence Director / Ubisoft Production Internationale.
