“iCarly” stars Jerry Trainor and Nathan Kress, who portray Spencer and Freddie respectively, are looking back on Emily Ratajkowski’s cameo in the original show over a decade ago.
The actors, who’ve reprised their roles for the Paramount+ reboot series alongside Miranda Gosgrove, Laci Mosley and Jaiyden Triplett, recently told E! News that they thought Ratajkowski’s two-episode, season 3 feature as Gibby’s (Noah Munck) girlfriend, Tasha, was “hilarious.”
“Her and Gibby, we would all just be like, ‘Wait you two…together…what? How is this even working?'” Trainor, 46, told the outlet.

“iCarly,” a late-2000s gem on Nickelodeon that was on the cutting edge of YouTube video culture, has returned with a new series on Paramount Plus, featuring familiar goofy, slapstick humor. But it’s added a more adult edge to target our modern influencer-obsessed way of life.
Some 14 years after “iCarly” first premiered, web-show host Carly Shay (Miranda Cosgrove) is all grown up, much like the Nickelodeon kids that enjoyed the original show. She and the cast of new and returning characters ditch their video cameras for smartphones and tackle some slightly edgier topics than what would’ve appeared on the show in its first run. There are still plenty of kid-friendly antics, physical comedy and eye-rolling puns, but every once in a while the Paramount Plus series will toss in a sex joke, a self-referential gag and even — gasp! — a swear word. (The writers even made sure to include...

iCarly is back!
The 2007 children's sitcom ended in 2012 and is now picking up nine years later.
All the characters are now adults and have experienced many different paths.
Carly Shay has decided to reboot her internet show and gives it an adult spin. The maturing of her fictional web show mirrors the development of the sitcom itself.
The sitcom has grown to appeal to an adult-skewing audience because all of the people that grew up with the original are now much older.
Running for five years, iCarly is often considered one of the best and most successful teenage sitcoms.
Originally airing on Nickelodeon in 2007, the show's success spanned 97 episodes across five seasons.
Returning to the show is Miranda Cosgrove as Carly Shay, Nathan Kress as Freddie Benson, and Jerry Trainor as Spencer Shay. In addition, two new characters join the revival, Harper and Millicent, played by Laci Mosely and Jaidyn Triplett.

It's a "Sopranos" reunion, courtesy of ... Nickelodeon?
You read right. Cast members from the late HBO mob series will reunite in the Nickelodeon TV movie "Nicky Deuce," which stars "iCarly's" Noah Munck and "The Sopranos" star Steve Schirripa.
The movie, which is based on the children's book written by Schirripa and Charles Fleming, centers on Nicholas Borelli II, a.k.a. Nicky Deuce (Munck), a nerdy teen who finds himself in Brooklyn with a mobster uncle (Schirripa) he never knew he had after his plans to attend math camp go awry.
Schirripa (a.k.a. Bobby Bacala) tapped many of his former "Sopranos" co-stars to make appearances in the kids mob movie, which is sure to have fewer f-bombs and trips to the Bada Bing than "The Sopranos" did. In the episode entitled "iGoodbye," Cosgrove's character, Carly, is devastated when her dad can't be there to take her to the Air Force father daughter dance. But Carly is too upset to attend the dance with anyone but her dad, or her brother as his fill-in, and says she just wants the night to be over. At that moment, Carly's father walks in the door for an emotional surprise reunion.
Upon learning after the dance that dad has to return immediately to his Air Force base in Italy, Carly has a difficult decision to make. Should she go with him? How can she leave her friends behind?...

How do you mark the end of an era? For iCarly, the series plans to say good-bye while finally saying hello to a certain someone’s father.
Fans of the Nickelodeon show have never met Carly’s dad, Colonel Shay. For five seasons, he has been stationed overseas. In fact, when First Lady, Michelle Obama made her unforgettable guest appearance on the show, the topic at hand was military families and their sacrifices.
While it may be sad to say good-bye to the series, the season finale will also mark Colonel Shay’s first appearance, and that’s going to make Carly one very happy camper.
The finale will be an hour-long special. I’ve got spoilers! The heart of the episode revolves around an Air Force father-daughter dance. Since Colonel Shay obviously can’t escort Carly to the dance, Spencer will insist on being her date. That plan falls through also,...

Apparently, it takes a kiddie flick to get the mob back together -- James Gandolfini (who played Tony Soprano, natch), Michael Imperioli (Christopher Moltisanti), Steve Schirripa (Bobby Bacala), Tony Sirico (Paulie Walnuts) and Vincent Curatola (Johnny Sack) are now all slated to make appearances in "Nicky Deuce," a TV movie being filmed for Nickelodeon based on Schirripa's children’s book of the same name. According to Deadline, the film's about Nicholas Borelli II (Noah Munck), a sheltered, geeky teenager who's sent to spend the summer in Brooklyn with his uncle Frankie (Schirripa) and other members of the Italian-American side of his family he never knew he had, including a few who may be involved in some nefarious business affairs. Gandolfini will play Bobby Eggs, "a two-bit guy from the neighborhood who gets unintentionally 'scrambled' by the young Nicky." Per IMDb, the others "Soprano"...

Exclusive: The Sopranos gang is officially back together! James Gandolfini, the Emmy-winning star of the HBO drama, is doing a cameo in Nicky Deuce, the Nickelodeon TV movie based on the children’s book co-written by Sopranos‘ Steve Schirripa, who also produces and stars in the project. In addition to Gandolfini and Schirripa, Nicky Deuce, currently filming in Montreal, features fellow Sopranos alums Michael Imperioli, Tony Sirico and Vincent Curatola for a reunion of most of the tough guys from the hit mob drama. Nicky Deuce centers on Nicholas Borelli II (Noah Munck), a nerdy, over-protected teen who gets caught in the adventure of a lifetime when he is sent to Brooklyn to spend the summer with an uncle (Schirripa) and other members of his Italian American family he never knew he had. Confronted with some questionable dealings, Nicky uncovers family secrets and learns that the mean streets of Brooklyn...

Four mobsters from "The Sopranos" will have an on-camera reunion next year in a rather unlikely place -- Nickelodeon.
Steve Schirripa, Michael Imperioli, Tony Sirico and Vincent Curatola will all have roles in "Nicky Deuce," a Nick movie starring "iCarly's" Noah Munck and based on a children's book Schirripa co-wrote. Rita Moreno also stars in the film, along with "Degrassi: The Next Generation" veterans Cristine Prosperi and Cassius Creightney.
"Nicky Deuce" stars Munck as a teenager whose plans to attend math camp go awry and who ends up spending the summer with his uncle (Schirripa) in Brooklyn. He acquires a (false) reputation as a tough guy soon after arriving and has to figure out how to live up to the label.
Imperioli, Sirico and Curatola will all play characters that harken back to their roles on "The Sopranos."
"Nicky Deuce" is based on a children's book of the same name Schirripa wrote with Charles Fleming.

Nickelodeon has decided to end "Victorious" after three seasons.
According to Deadline, the youth-oriented cable network issued a statement that the upcoming season would be the show's last. "Nickelodeon will not be moving forward with production on a fourth season of 'Victorious' following the final season that will premiere this fall,” Nickelodeon said in the statement. “We are very proud of the show, its very talented cast, and our audience will continue to see many of them in upcoming new Nickelodeon projects.”
The show's creator, Dan Schneider, published his own thoughts on the news via his blog:

You wouldn’t think there’s much overlap between the worlds of iCarly and Breaking Bad. But iCarly star Noah Munck, who plays quirky Gibby Gibson on the Nickelodeon sitcom, is a huge fan of The One Who Knocks, regularly live-tweeting his thoughts on the hit AMC drama to his nearly 400,000 followers.
Tonight, Noah will chat live with you during the new episode of Breaking Bad, titled “Fifty-One,” at 10 p.m. Et / 7 p.m. Pt. He’ll be adding his commentary as Walt celebrates another birthday and an increasingly unhinged Skyler considers her options, plus he’ll be interacting directly with you.

Several cast members of "iCarly" will be sticking around on Nickelodeon after the show ends later this year.
The network unveiled a development slate Friday (Aug. 3) that includes pilots for two "iCarly" spinoffs -- one of which also spins from "Victorious" -- and other projects that feature actors from the series.
"Sam & Cat" will star Jennette McCurdy and Ariana Grande as their "iCarly" and "Victorious" characters, who become best friends and roommates and then start a baby-sitting business together.
The other "iCarly" spinoff is "Gibby," which focuses on Noah Munck's character as he takes a job at a rec center and becomes a mentor to a ragtag group of middle-school kids who hang out there. Plus, the network is also planning a spin-off for 'iCarly' fan-favorite character Gibby! Will you watch these new series? Two of Nickelodeon's biggest stars are colliding! iCarly's Jennette McCurdy and Victorious' Ariana Grande are co-starring in a pilot for a new Nick show which could very well become the network's next phenomenon. And here's the best part: They'll be playing the characters you already know and love! Entertainment Weekly reports that the new series, titled Cat & Sam, finds Ariana's Cat and Jennette's Sam becoming roommates and starting a babysitting business. (I know that sounds ridiculous, but this is Nickelodeon we're talking about. It's not supposed to make sense.) The pilot is coming from iCarly creator and executive producer Dan Schneider, who is also working on a spin-off for iCarly's oft-shirtless Gibby (Noah Munck), approriately titled Gibby! That new series follows Gibby as he (somehow) becomes a mentor for "four off-beat middle school students.

EW has learned that Nickelodeon has ordered spin-off pilots for Sam Puckett (Jennette McCurdy) and Gibby Gibson (Noah Munck) from iCarly creator/executive producer Dan Schneider. Sam’s prospective show also would serve a spin-off vehicle for Cat Valentine (Ariana Grande), a popular character from Schneider’s other Nick comedy, Victorious.

All good things must come to an end. Nickelodeon has announced that iCarly is ending after five seasons but there's a big finish in the works.
Starring Drake & Josh's Miranda Cosgrove, iCarly follows teenager Carly Shay as she creates a successful web series with the help of her best friends, Sam (Jennette McCurdy) and Freddie (Nathan Kress). Noah Munck is another good friend, Gibby, and Jerry Trainor plays Spencer, Carly's older brother and legal guardian.
We suspected that the show might be getting ready to end when iCarly was renewed for a fifth season in April 2011. Though iCarly is one of the most popular shows on cable, the series was renewed for just 13 episodes. Like all shows about teens growing up, the actors eventually start to outgrow their roles and it's time to move on.
