- As for myself, I began a career in fashion design due to my passion for fashion. I graduated with a Bachelor's Degree in Fine Arts & Fashion Design in March 2006 from the International Academy of Design and Technology with High Honor's. During that time I worked in many fashion shows, collaborating with major department stores such as Neiman Marcus and Sak's Fifth Avenue. I was awarded a Fashion Oscar at IADT's first Annual Dream Fashion show and climbed the ladder ever since, making a name for myself and my work. I participated in the Ronald McDonald House Fashion Show, Fash Bash and General Motor's Metro Bridal Tasting fashion show along with having my first ever design (a jersey) recognized by Good Morning America while the Director of Education from IADT was wearing it.
My fashion and accessory work is one-of -a-kind while unique patterns, styles and popularity continued to inspire me to establish my own Private Label, "Zaynini," which translates to 'Make Me Beautiful.' In March of 2007, I took my work to the Middle East, where I developed my first private label items. My line was first showcased at the largest Arab International Festival and was praised in a variety of publications such as Forbes, Hour Magazine, The Detroit News and Free Press. I was also featured on International TV Networks such as ART and Al-Jazeera.
I am fortunate and grateful to have accomplished so much in the short period of my career. By age 25 I have already worked with Hip Hop icons Eminem, Obie Trice, 50 Cent, America's Next Top model, Naima Mora, Tatiana Ali as well as many other celebrities. I long to open my own boutique so I can allow my talent to grow and have a vision to see my clothing in every woman's closet.
