Jason Umino is a Honolulu-based electronic music artist performing under the moniker, Wunderfish. He has been working with the film production company, Street Cinema, LLC. since its inception in 2005. While he is inspired by a wide variety of music, his heroes hail from the golden age of electronic music in the 80s and 90s: Vince Clarke, Orbital, Underworld, Air, and Leftfield. Cinematically, he is particularly influenced by the soundtracks of Zbigniew Preisner, Eric Serra, and Danny Elfman. Wunderfish released his debut album, "The Narwhal in the Cornflower Sky" in 2017, as well as an official remix for famed Italian composer Ludovico Einaudi on Decca / Universal Records. He is currently working on a follow-up album and other remix projects while teaching kids the art and science of electronic music at Honolulu's Computational Thinkers.
