Today, it has been officially confirmed that the popular manga My Deer Friend Nokotan by Oshioshio, which has been published since 2019, is going to get an anime adaptation and the release date of the first episode has already been confirmed – the series will premiere on July 7, 2024 on Tokyo Mx and other networks.
Oshioshio’s hit comedy / slice-of-life manga series has been published by Kodansha since 2019, and as of the time of writing, four collected volumes have been published. It is not that common for a manga series to receive an anime adaptation so quickly these days, but My Deer Friend Nokotan seems to be an exception, which suggests that the series is doing fairly well and that the series wants to capitalize on that success.
Wit Studios is producing the series, and some key staff members have also been confirmed. We, thus, know that Masahiko Oota (Onipan!, Didn’t I Say to Make My Abilities Average in the Next Life?!...
