Oliver Guse born in London Ontario Canada found his love for creativity, writing, film making, drawing and design at a very young age. His imagination brought books to life created worlds more exciting than his small town upbringing. In his stories he could be a flawed super spy, impossible hero, gorgeous cowboy, socially inept robot or even a giant soft spoken caveman.
With opportunities in other professional fields animation found him while he was waiting for his 16mm film to develop. Oliver started to draw then an animate and found that analyzing film and story frame by frame gave him a greater perspective on his passion. After completing a fine arts and film program, he attended the world famous Sheridan College where he was able to explore his love for story telling, animation and film making all in one.
Oliver has been in animation for over 20 years mastering various professional roles from animator, designer, storyboard artist, director, production manager and producer. He has explored traditional 2D, Flash, Harmony, Tooonboom, Editing and later specializing in 3D Maya animation, Also he has an opportunity to work in Live Action film and commercials.
Oliver Guse has worked on over 60 titles such as: Kenny the Shark, Ben and Izzy, Learn With Shamu, King, Watership Down, Freaky Stories, Arthur, Franklin, Little Bear, Under Grads, Mission Hill, Ed, Edd and Eddy, Lion Heart, the recent Woody Wood Pecker, Land Before Time, Henry and Me, Curious George 3 and Penn Zero Part time Herro. His commercials / TV shows special has been aired on networks such as: NBC, Discovery Kids, Cartoon Network, Nickelodeon, CBC, Teletoon, CBC, BBC, MTV, Disney Television Animation Studios, Universal Studios and in 180 countries around the world.
Now in a recent interview he has turned his focus to original content and is very excited for the future. His studio Tycoon Animation located in the Philippines is the pallet and machine he requires to bring his imagination to life. He explains "Tycoon Animation is the first in a long time bringing the wholesale levels animation closer to the creative. This has not been done since a mouse in the garage launched another animation empire. Look out for Tycoon Animation Studios and the imagination of Oliver Guse in the near future.
