- Controversially claimed that Sri Lankan spinner Muttiah Muralitharan would be banned from international cricket altogether if he undergoes a bio mechanical test of his bowling action. Ironically, Muralitharan's style came out to be legitimate even when made to bowl wearing brace, that too by an Australian university. Taylor stated it was the most humiliating experience of his life.
