- On his first trip to Southern California to pursue acting, in which he failed, he slept on a strangers couch for the entire stay.
- Directed for the first time while attending Ramapo College of New Jersey in 2001.
- On his second trip to Southern California in 2003 to pursue acting, wound up having to sleep on the sidewalk one night.
- His first SAG credit was for a scene on "Chicago Fire." His character was a yacht salesman. The scene wound up on the post-production editing floor, never to be seen.
