This article is going to contain discussion about a comic book company's logo, so if you were thinking about leaving a comment about how there are more important things to talk about in the world right now, A) you're obviously right about that, but we're going to talk about this anyway, and B) now I've just saved you the trouble of leaving that comment, so don't bother.
DC Comics changed its logo in 2012 to something that was supposed to resemble a comic book page being turned, but I never liked that design. Thankfully, the company has changed its logo again after only four short years, and the new logo is a huge improvement. It's trades in the cutesy design for one that's more straightforward, a throwback to its older logos with the two letters encased in a circle.
VP of Marketing Amit Desai spoke about the new logo:

It's been more than 13 years since the case of Salman Khan being accused of killing people on the streets has been in court expecting a verdict. The latest update on the case is that, today, the Bombay High Court has acquitted Salman Khan of all the criminal charges.
It was Justice A.R. Joshi, who, while pronouncing the justice, said that the 'prosecution has failed to prove charges against Khan on all counts'. As per the media reports, he asserted that the court has come to the conclusion that the prosecution has failed to bring material on record to establish beyond reasonable doubt that the appellant (Salman Khan) was driving and under the influence of alcohol, also, whether the accident occurred due to bursting (of tyre) prior to the incident or tyre burst after the incident."

Following up our discussion on DC Comics registration for a new trademarked logo and brand identity, FastCoCreate.com posted this feature article with DC Entertainment’s executive vice president of sales, John Hood and senior vice president of franchise management, Amit Desai where they explained and revealed how the relatively lackluster logo design will be applied in a variety of ways based on the product it is licensed on or the comic it’s placed on or the movie it’s stamped on.
In the article the executives explained that they didn’t want one static logo but a whimsical logo that could “Mold to the properties, characters and media, especially in the digital space, were it becomes interactive.” Desai said specifically, “What is special about DC content is the notion of a dual identity. When you think about our DC Comics superheroes, there’s a secret identity. When you think about Vertigo,...

A couple of days ago DC reveled their new logo that they had submitted to the patent office. You all turned out in droves to tell Cbm that you did not much care for the logo one bit, but maybe these new and improved versions of the logo will change your mind. Bleeding Cool have gotten a hold of some new looks for the logo. The logos breath a bit more life in to the boring grey and white that we saw before with a number of colors and styles including some based off of comics(notice the Watchman one). Another aspect of the new logo will be the role it will play in the touchscreen viewing of DC's material. A small demenstration of how it will work is on display in the photo below. We're all big fans of DC's series of animated shorts that have accompanied their feature-length animated films lately, and since we're definitely not alone in digging the "DC Showcase" offerings, it's no surprise that all of the shorts will be collected on DVD and Blu-Ray later this year.
What is a surprise, however, is that the collection will come with a brand new, original short featuring Superman, Captain Marvel, and one of my favorite DC characters, Black Adam.
Warner Home Video's "DC Showcase Original Shorts Collection" hits shelves in November and features the previously released shorts focusing on The Spectre and Jonah Hex, as well as the upcoming Green Arrow short and the aforementioned "Superman/Shazam!" short. DC/WB has sent along a pair of screenshots from the "Superman/Shazam!" short that offer the first peek at Captain Marvel and Black Adam.
