- Haber is of Austrian, Bavarian and Spanish descent on his paternal side, and German, Scottish and Swedish descent on his maternal side. His maternal side of the family arrived in the US as early as the 1700s. His father's side around the turn of the 20th century. He holds a number of hereditary and courtesy titles in Austria, Hungary, Bavaria, Spain, Scotland, Sweden and The United Kingdom.

- Is an 8th generation Miamian on his maternal side of the family, which emigrated to America in the early 18th century, settling first in Ohio and Georgia, and is a direct descendant of the Holy Roman Empire on his father's.
