Matt Parkins
- Additional Crew
Matt Parkins grew up in Yorkshire in the UK, spending his teenage years
in Halifax and Scarborough and his twenties in Sheffield when he began
working for Gremlin Interactive as a Games Tester and then as a Tools
Programmer doing support work and PC installers. He shortly migrated to
game programming when Gremlin Interactive was taken over by Infogrames
working on
UEFA Challenge (2001)
and
Micro Machines (2002).
The Sheffield studio was then closed in 2003 and so Matt went on to work for St Thomas' Church as a Ministry Assistant/PA to Rev Mike Breen for 16 months. After a short spell at St Thomas' Matt became a self-employed programmer and simultaneously traveled round the world to practically support Christian mission around the globe eventually finding himself in Australia for just over two years as a young adult pastor. This appeared to solidify his call to vocational ministry and became the Pastor at a church in York in June 2008. Matt left in 2011 and returned to programming apps, websites and games.
Matt setup Mooflower, with one notable mobile game so far, Mine Sprint.
