- His directorial debut and first narrative film 'Ronan's Escape' earned him a total of 13 international film festival award nominations and 10 wins including multiple "Best Director" and "Best Film" awards.The film has been shared online more than 27 million times and was used in U.S. pop star Demi Lovato's smash hit "Believe In Me" music video.
- A.J. lied about his age to get his first job in the T.V. industry. At just 16 years old, A.J became the youngest assistant producer in Australia working on Australia's longest running and most successful children's TV show "A'mazing". He had taken a few hours off school to attend the interview, knowing the producers requirement for 18+. His mother was in on the whole operation, but when he unexpectedly got the job his parents had to cut a deal with the school principle that allowed A.J. to attend school only on Mondays and Fridays, giving him freedom to film the T.V show on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays. After almost a year of filming and over 90 episodes in the bag, the producers found out he was still at school but decided to turn a blind eye. Due to Australia education minimum attendance requirements, A.J. only just graduated year 12 with one absentee day to spare. On his day of graduation and at the age of 17 he had completed 3 Seasons of the show and already had credits in over 200 T.V. episodes to his name.
- In 2008/2009, he created, wrote, produced and directed a reality series pilot for MTV titled 'Playing with Playmates' starring "The Hills" Playboy Playmate of the Year Jayde Nicole, Kelly Carrington and Shannon James.
- In 2010 A.J. teamed up with Australian comedians Adam Hills and Rove McManus to film an impromptu live performance at the Improv Comedy Club in Hollywood.
- Directed a commercial for Avatar/Terminator/True Lies film maker James Cameron starring James and Arnold Schwarzenegger. The commercial went on to form the most successful advertising campaign ever orchestrated by the marketing company responsible.
- Was friends with, and went to school with late Australian actor Heath Ledger.
- He was featured in a long format commercial campaign for Microsoft / DELL laptop computers titled "The Art of Filmmaking".
- Has directed over 200 T.V. commercials in the U.S.A alone.
