Jay Karnes has booked a four-episode arc on new ABC submarine drama Last Resort. Karnes, repped by Greene & Associates, will play Secretary of Defense William Curry, a shadowy figure who may be behind the attack on the USS Colorado. Karnes will next be seen in the pilot for USA’ Graceland. Christine Woods is set for a guest arc on NBC’s new comedy Go On, about a guy (Matthew Perry) recovering from the death of his wife with the help of a support group. Woods, repped by Gersh and Emery Entertainment, will play his dead wife in flashbacks. She most recently starred in the NBC multi-camera pilot Daddy’s Girls this past season. Tim Griffin (NBC’s Prime Suspect) has been cast in a recurring arc on USA Network’s spy drama Covert Affairs. Known for his extensive film, theater and television career (as well as his amazing eyebrows), Peter Gallagher recently spoke with us about his role as Arthur Campbell in Covert Affairs. He talks about his on screen marriage with Kari Matchett, who plays Joan Campbell, head of the Domestic Protection Division. He also promises us that Arthur is going to get in on the action side of things and actually gets to –expletive- somebody up! And if you didn’t know, Gallagher is a skilled musician and singer. We ask him if that talent will somehow find its way on to the show. I regretfully forgot to ask him about video games (he’s been known to be a big gamer), but hopefully I’ll get to ask that in a future sit-down with the actor. Tune in this Tuesday night for the Covert Affairs Season 2 Summer finale.

Piper Perabo's Annie Walker is back in season two of USA Networks' Covert Affairs. It's not easy being a CIA opperative living a double life, but Annie sure does look good trying.
But the real question is, who can we expect to see emerging from undercover when the panel drops Thursday, July 21st from 11:15am - 12:15am in Ballroom 20?
Piper Perabo (Annie Walker)
Christopher Gorham (August Anderson)
Sendhil Ramamurthy (Jai Wilcox)
Kari Matchett (Joan Campbell)
Anne Dudek (Danielle Brooks)
Peter Gallagher (Arthur Campbell)
Executive Producers Doug Liman and Dave Bartis
Series Creators Chris Ord and Matt Corman
Oded Fehr (moderator).
But do you know what we can tell you? Why, how about that USA is sponsoring a sweepstakes for an expenses-paid trip to San Diego Comic-Con 2011, courtesy of Covert Affairs?! Head on over to USA for your chance to win!

Like always, Comic Con International is revealing the schedule of events day by day. It certainly makes planning a lot easier. But that's neither here nor there. There's a lot of panels to cover, so let's just get to it. Check out the pertinent film and television panels set for the first two days of the show after the jump.
The first "day" of the show is Preview Night only, so there's only a couple things happening that night:

We're less than two weeks away from the 2011 San Diego Comic Con, and convention organizers have finally released the schedule for the first day of programing. You can find the full schedule on comic-con.org [1], or after the jump I've listed the film and television highlights, which includes the Masters of the Web panel which I've been invited to be a panelist on (In full disclosure, I've been asked to be on this panel for a few years now, but I've only just recently gotten over my fear of speaking in front of large audiences). It should be a fun panel, and I hear they will be giving away some really cool prizes as well. "I get to kick some ass!"
Those were Covert Affairs star Kari Matchett's exact words when discussing an upcoming episode where her character, Dpd Director Joan Campbell, finally gets to venture outside the walls of the CIA to handle a clandestine operation of her own.
"The beginning of this episode is today," Matchett said during my visit to the set. "I felt like I had almost forgotten how to act outdoors when we first started shooting because I've been at the Dpd for so long. It's really exciting."
Aside from getting to flex her muscles - figuratively and literally - outside the CIA walls, Matchett is especially thrilled that fans will finally get to see just how good Joan was as a field agent, and why she deserves the position she's in now.
"Joan is always in the position of power. She's the one that people ask, and she's,...

Chicago – In an era where America’s budget concerns are front and center, a TV series celebrating the awesomeness of the CIA seems a bit ill-timed. Piper Perabo portrays an undercover operative in the second season premiere of USA Network’s “Covert Affairs.”
TV Rating: 3.0/5.0
The series does score some points for intrigue, mostly through the character of Arthur Campbell (Peter Gallagher), who portrays the CIA Director of the National Clandestine Service. He’s in a bit of a legal pickle regarding his the division’s actions, and the whole agency is on pins and needles regarding it. In the foreground is Perabo’s Annie Walker, who is the centerpiece agent of the assignment du jour.
The second season opens with a flashback. Annie is romping on the beach, remembering a mission in Sri Lanka, where a former rogue operative Ben Mercer (Eion Bailey) is injured in a firefight trying...

I’m going to just assume that you’re watching Covert Affairs already, and just jump into the fact that Sendhil Ramamurthy took part in a Q & A recently, and I have it to share with you. You may be familiar with him, but he has a rather unique role in USA’s spy-venture series, and some may find him not entirely likable. Go figure.
Enjoy!
What exactly made you want to be a part of this show?
S. Ramamurthy It was kind of a roundabout thing, actually. While I was still shooting here, they were shooting this pilot and I put a friend of mine on tape for the role of Auggie, for Chris Gorham’s part. While I was doing that, I ended up reading the script and I really liked it, but I was already on a show and that was that. I kind of read it and filed it away.
