FEARnet employee Sarah Shannon got an early birthday surprise from her sister in the form of this Freddy Krueger-themed birthday cake, created by Carly's Cakes and Cookies in Philadelphia:
The Nightmare on Elm Street baddie seems to show a rare moment of etiquette by offering to slice the cake himself with his trademark glove (that part's not actually edible), and the cake is decorated in the red & green scheme of his infamous sweater – with the bloody FEARnet logo as a final touch. Sarah's birthday is 4/30, so be sure to wish her a scary one... and remind her not to fall asleep before then!

"Reaper" will come back from the grave this summer.
Cable network FEARnet has licensed the devil-themed comedy-drama in order to air the 31 episodes produced in the show's two-season run on The CW. In addition, FEARnet will produce and air a reunion special featuring several of the actors and crew involved with the show.
As first reported by Deadline, the basis of pick-up -- FEARnet's first off-network deal -- is the rather rabid community of fans devoted to "Reaper." Those fans are still out there nearly four years after The CW canceled the show in 2009.
"Many 'Reaper' viewers feel the show left too early, so we hope that they will enjoy our plans for the series and our 'Reaper' reunion special," FEARnet VP of programming and network operations Sarah Shannon said in a statement.
Following its FEARnet debut on June 4, "Reaper" will air Tuesdays at 9pm on the channel,...

Regardless of what department they work in, everyone at FEARnet loves scary movies. So we asked the entire company to help us pick the best fright flicks of the year. In no particular order...
Sinister
"I went in blind not knowing much more than a plot line and Ethan Hawke was the lead. What happened next was me being scared in a theater for the first time in years. So much so, that I actually gripped up the armrests every time a new 8mm film was played. Needless to say, that last one is a doozy."
- Sarah Shannon, Programming
"Absolutely the best theatrical horror film I’ve seen in many, many years. Creepy, scary, suspenseful, a good story and a very solid, understated performance from Ethan Hawke."
-Rick Kent, Standards & Practices
"Atmospheric, frightening and surprisingly shocking."
