She was very interested in photography in college. She began her career as an editor and soon became a producer and director, assisting in several films. Her most recent works are the documentary "It's A Hard Truth Ain't It" and her narrative feature debut, "O.G.", starring Jeffrey Wright, who won a Best Actor Award at Tribeca Film Festival for his performance. She received the Hudson Link for Higher Education in Prison for the two films.
