His first job in New York City was as an assistant to the stage manager
at the NY Shakespeare Festival. Kevin Kline took him under his wing,
and Darrell worked as Kevin's assistant for the rehearsals of Measure for Measure.
He holds two MFAs: one in Acting, the other in Classical Acting.
He and his mother Perditta helped tear down the Berlin Wall in 1989.
He has taught at Vassar College for 18 years.
He splits his time between New York City and the Hudson Valley.
