Andrew Kuchanny(I)
- Cinematographer
- Camera and Electrical Department
Andrew was born in same neighborhood in Bristol as Cary Grant (Archie
Leech), during the late 1970s and is an only child. He later moved with
his family to a small sea side town on the Bristol channel
(Weston-Super- Mare) for the majority of his childhood. He was given
the opportunity to travel widely through Europe whilst at school, and
spent many months in Spain and Italy, to help with learning the
languages.
Andrew later trained as a theatre lighting designer before he made the change to camera work, and worked on over 30 theatre productions as designer and technician during a very short time. These productions brought him to various parts of the UK and the United States between 1995 and 1999.
Originally Andrew took little interest in photography, preferring to remember the places he had been to rather than capture them on film, but this changed whilst at university, during university he worked as a stills photographer, on various projects.
His other interests are, zoology (he is a member of the Zoological Society of London) History and Archaeology, Art, Diving and Sailing, Writing, and Cars.
Andrew speaks Spanish and Italian, in varying degrees mostly on how recently he has been to either country.
