Peter Matthew Gaudioso was born January 22, 1974 in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania to mother Carla Aldi (Gaudioso) and father Albert Gaudioso. Raised in an extremely artistic household, Peter took an early interest in science fiction, classical music, and comic book art. But the most profound influence was when the already imaginative 4-year-old saw the epic space opera, Star Wars. The impact of that film would never leave him.
Peter's love for music and science fiction continued throughout his high school years. After studying percussion with Atlantic City show-drummer legend Karl Mattola, and with hand-technique-guru Armand Santarelli, Peter started drumming professionally at the age of 20.
In 2012, after a 15-year-career as a drummer, an unexpected wrist injury threatened Peter's ability to play. Instead of retreat, Peter harnessed yet another talent: his singing voice. Building on top of a strong musical foundation, as well as adding lessons with Grammy Award winning artist, Bobby McFerrin, Peter adapted his performances to feature his honest and inviting vocal style. Miraculously, the performances continued without a hitch. Night after night, Peter would hone the craft of poetic song and storytelling.
In 2015, amidst a thriving career as a singer, Peter began to feel an unsatisfied yearning for expressing himself in a visual medium. A calling back to those days as a 4-year-old immersed in comic books. Peter chose photography, and from the waves of nostalgia a very unique art form was born - creating realistic portraits of toy action figures.
Peter became further captivated in the art of storytelling. Photography slowly graduated to film. All the while the poetic lyricist kept singing - kept writing short tales about the richness of living an artist's life. The thrill of romance. The loss of love. The burden of being a creator. The result was a complete marriage of his eclectic talents: "The Apocalypse Monologues (2020.)"
The Apocalypse Monologues is an on-going drama series that explores the range of emotions that come with living an isolated life in a desolate world after humanity's extinction.
In addition to being a musician and filmmaker Peter is a Certified Vinyasa Yoga Instructor (Dhyana Yoga School. 2010.)
