Born into a corporate nomad family, Colin lived all over the United
States, from East Coast to Deep South to Midwest and finally the West
Coast.
Destined (or doomed, depending on how you look at it) into filmmaking when he saw Return of the Jedi in a theater at age 3, his film education began at the University of Wisconsin. There, he studied under the expert tutelage of the white-bearded sifu of cinema, David Bordwell. He graduated in 2004, with a BFA in Communication Arts - Film Studies.
In 2007, Colin entered The Academy of Art in San Francisco to work on a MFA in Film Editing.
He's worked on several films with Christopher j Ewing under the Wasted Potential Production banner.
Brooker recently received the Epidemic Film Festival's award for Special Achievement in Editing for Christopher J Ewing's Thru.
