Duane's multi-racial look has given him the opportunity to appear in numerous commercials ranging from McDonald's to Home Depot. His first film work was as an extra in "Stranger in the Family" starring Teri Garr (1991)
Early life
Duane Ram was born in the Fiji Island. As a child he beat out hundreds of submission to win the most beatify baby in Fiji. At 2 years old he became the Golden Glaxo baby and appeared in advertisements for the New Zealand based baby formula company. He moved to the United States in 1987 and graduated from Burlingame High School in California, landing his first film and commercial agent in 1990.
In 1995, Duane was cast as a dancer on The Grind. A tour version of the MTV show that shot at Paramount's Great America amusement park over the summer of 1995. In 1998 he entered and again beat out hundreds of submissions and won an Emmy Award scholarship for videography production.
