- Grew up in Brussels, Belgium, where she spoke French, Dutch and Spanish. She traveled to over 16 different countries.
- Studied ballet, modern and jazz dance under the tutelage of dancers from the Paris Opera, New York City Ballet, American Ballet Theater, Bolshoi & Kirov Ballets, Alvin Ailey school New York, amongst many and later performed with a dance company in Brussels.
- Studied at the University of California, Irvine: 2 BAs in dance and French.
- 2003, created her own high-end baking line, Michelle Cozens, fine desserts & pastries, where her fashion forward yummy treats and stunning wedding cakes became her signature.
