Kevin Hart commended the apparent security beat-down of the man who tackled Dave Chappelle on stage at the Hollywood Bowl Tuesday evening, telling Jimmy Kimmel Live guest host Mike Birbiglia last night, “It’s one of those things that needed to happen.”
Viral photos of the 23-year-old Isaiah Lee (see below) show the suspect’s battered and swollen face and his distended, possibly broken arm as he was being loaded into an ambulance following the Bowl incident. Lee’s brother has told Rolling Stone that Lee, who was carrying a replica gun containing a knife during the Chappelle attack, is homeless and struggles with mental illness.
Whether Hart was aware of Lee’s difficulties was unclear. On Kimmel last night, he said, “Somebody ran onstage and got their ass whooped…It’s one of those things that needed to happen.” (Watch Hart’s interview above.)
Hart continued, “Do you want...

Howard Stern is addressing a resurfaced video that shows him in blackface and using the N-word. The video, which was from a New Year's Eve special in 1993, was resurfaced after Donald Trump Jr. retweeted the clip of the performance, originally posted by filmmaker Tariq Nasheed. On Monday, Stern acknowledged the video on his SiriusXM program, The Howard Stern Show, saying that he's "evolved" since then. "The sh-t I did was f-cking crazy," he said, per Variety. "I'll be the first to admit. I won't go back and watch those old shows; it's like, 'Who is that guy?' But that was my shtick, that's what I did and I own it. I don't...

The war of words between Howard Stern and his former friend, President Donald Trump, and the president’s son Donald Jr escalated last weekend when Junior retweeted a conservative missive that the SiriusXM broadcaster appeared in blackface and used the N-word multiple times in a pay-per-view New Year’s Eve special — in 1993.
Trump Jr has been jabbing at Stern since the radio host has spoken critically of his father’s slow response to the pandemic, and his polarizing comments in the wake of the George Floyd murder and subsequent protests. Stern in turn has jabbed back that Junior has had everything handed to him by his famous father, and has no notable accomplishments on his own. Then, Trump Jr retweeted the clip of the performance.
The clip was first posted by filmmaker Tariq Nasheed, and it was interspersed with Stern’s recent appearance on The View, where he claimed during...

According to Forbes, Kylie Jenner, at 21 years of age, has become the youngest self-made billionaire ever.
What’s beyond doubt is that Forbes’ report about the depth of Jenner’s coffers has provided a wealth of skepticism among naysayers on social media.
Forbes published its report on Tuesday saying that Jenner bested the previous record-holder, Facebook boss Mark Zuckerberg, for the title, thanks at least in part to her Kylie Cosmetics line.

However, Twitter was abuzz with doubters who called the report into question.
Many took issue with the claim that Jenner, who is a member of the Kardashian-Jenner reality TV/business juggernaut, is a “self-made” billionaire.
“Kylie Jenner is proof that even if you only start out in life with a few hundred million dollars and international fame, it’s still possible to make something of yourself.

Hulk Hogan was officially welcomed back with open pythons — err, arms — by WWE on Friday at Saudi Arabia’s “Crown Jewel” pay-per-view event. The WWE Universe on Twitter seemed to have a less-accommodating response to the booking.
Below are some of the choice negative reactions.
To be fair, not everyone on the social media website was unhappy to see Terry Bollea back in the red-and-yellow — it just kind of felt that way when we looked around.

Attorney General Jeff Sessions is facing widespread criticism for his newly announced decision to roll back an Obama-era policy that allowed states to legalize marijuana without federal intervention.
“Given the Department’s well-established general principles, previous nationwide guidance specific to marijuana enforcement is unnecessary and is rescinded, effective immediately,” Sessions said in a one-page memo sent to federal prosecutors across the country on Thursday, according to Politico.
The decision is expected to create chaos in the growing industry, particularly in states where the drug has already been legalized. As the Huffington Post reports, “Although marijuana remains illegal under federal law,...

North Carolina Rep. Robert Pittenger has issued an apology after saying protesters in Charlotte "hate white people" for being successful. "I apologize to those I offended and hope we can bring peace and calm to Charlotte," Pittenger, 68, wrote in a string of tweets on Thursday. The tweets come after Pittenger spoke out about the protests that have erupted in Charlotte following the shooting of an African-American man, Keith Lamont Scott, in an interview with BBC. "The grievance in the [protesters'] mind - the animus, the anger - they hate white people because white people are successful and they're not," he told the publication.

One of several 2012 The Hollywood Black Film Festival profiles we'll be posting leading up to the festival's opening date October 25 and closing on October 28. Titled The Eugenist, it's an indie feature length horror film from director and author Tariq Nasheed. New York Times best-selling author Tariq Nasheed steps out of his realm of dispensing ‘game’ and relationship advice once again. Nasheed’s books The Mack Within, Play or Be Played, The Elite Way, and his all-time classic The Art of Mackin’ definitely have a worldwide audience, but last year he transformed his knowledge of the historical and psychological effects of slavery on...

Thursday and this weekend marks the premiere of the new hard-hitting documentary Hidden Colors, which aims to examine the real and untold history of people of color around the globe. The new doc is directed and executive produced by first-time director but New York Times best-selling author and social commentator Tariq Nasheed, best known for his provocative and controversial yet insightful relationship advice books to mostly to men but also to women – such as The Mack Within, Play or Be Played, and the most recent The Elite Way – as well as the long-running and popular podcast The Mack Lessons Radio Show.
