Originally from Burry Port, Carmarthenshire, South Wales. Trained at
the Central School of Speech and Drama. Graduated in 1994 with a BA in
Acting. Youngest ever Jean Valjean (Les Miserables) and longest-serving
London Phantom (Phantom of the Opera).
He has played the title character in the London West End production of
Sir Andrew Lloyd Webber's smash-hit musical "The Phantom of the Opera"
over 1 400 times, earning him the title of the Longest-Running London
West End Phantom.
He is the youngest actor to ever play Jean Valjean in the musical "Les
Miserables", starting out when he was only 26 years old.
Playing Jean Valjean in the 25th Anniversary production of Les Miserables, playing at the Barbican, London for 22 performances only.
Currently playing Jean Valjean in "Les Miserables" at the
Queen's Theatre in London, England and has confirmed that he will
continue to perform the role until at least the summer of 2007.
He played Gaylord Ravenal in a 2006 limited-run engagement of
"Showboat" at the Royal Albert Hall in London, England, which was the
first musical to be fully staged there.
