- He counts David Mamet as his biggest inspiration and influence in writing. He owns every play, book and screenplay ever written by Mamet and all of his films. He credits Mamet alone as igniting his infatuation with writing, and considers him to be one of the best dramatists since Shakespeare.
- Was originally set to write "Prayers of a Stalker" on his own, but brought in another writer to help him maintain the dark tone of the film. He also frequently suffered writers block during the early writing stages and thought a co-writer might allow for more of a free flow of ideas that might solve the problem.
