Florian Hodel is a young actor, dubbing-artist and TV host. Florian
started acting when he was just 4 years old. At the age of 11 he joined
the children's choir of the opera house in Zurich. There he played
numerous roles in operas such as "Fallstaf", "Where the Wild Things
are?" and "Alcina". Meanwhile he kept acting some youth-plays. When he
was 14 years old, he had his first TV appearance on "Kidz" a show for
children on Swiss national TV. At that time he had been on some
commercials and industrial films as an actor. Later, 1996-1998, he
worked as an assistant Director and production assistant on the video
project "Backstage" by Michael Auf der Maur, 2000 on the music-clip
"Step by Step". One year later he worked again as an actor in Tomasz
Kolinski's "Ein Hauch von Zeit".
Hodel always wanted to do some TV work such as hosting a show for children. In 2001 he was engaged on "Nickelodeon" (national Swiss TV), which included some quiz and telephone games. After two years "Nickeloden" had been changed to "Junior" which is almost the same but with different Cartoons.
In all that time he did a lot of dubbing. He gave his voice to many characters in commercials, TV series and films. Some notable appearances were Robby in "Der kleine Eisbär" (engl. "The little Polar Bear"), Spike in the British Cartoon "Albi". Commercials for Universal Music Switzerland, Warner Music Switzerland, Sony Music Switzerland and many more.
