Morgan Stewart was born in 1989 to two librarians. Growing up, her
older sister Alanna helped foster her interest in filmmaking, acting
and all things creative. She had a four year consecutive run with Our
Own Voice Theatre Troupe, carrying leading roles in an array of social
justice plays. With Alanna, she became a key member of Do You Know
Where Your Children Are Productions, a group of young filmmakers who
based out of White Station High School. At a local filmfest, DYKWYCAP
won a $400 grant, which they used to join the Media Co-op. Morgan
became involved in the local indie film scene and appeared in Morgan
Jon Fox's Blue Citrus Hearts (2003), Brandon Hutchinson's Dollars and
Signs (2005) and DYKWYCAP's Hamlet (2005). She continues to act locally
and create beautiful things in her spare time.
Almost became a member of The Cahoots, a fake band run by a local media
icon, Eileen Townsend. Did not become a member because the band never
got off the ground.
Attending White Station High School, reading the great
American novels but being on the cusp of a revolution the whole time.
