Dexter recap: Season 5, episode 6 "Everything Is Illuminated" (10/31/2010)
With Lumen presumably out of his life, Dexter focuses on his next target, Lance Robinson, a man who sets up illicit meetings with other men that clearly turn deadly. But in the middle of setting up his table, Lumen calls and tells him that she shot one of her attackers, and she needs his help. He packs up Lance's body and heads to help her, and when they arrive, they realize that while she shot him, he wasn't completely dead and ran away. Dexter becomes enraged when he realizes that she has no evidence for targeting her victim, but the two continue to track him down.

***Warning*** This article discusses some plot points for Sunday night's episode of Dexter on Showtime.
At this year's Summer Television Critics Association Tour, I had the opportunity to ask Dexter executive producers Sara Colleton and John Goldwyn about their show's lack of gay representation. I received a rather odd answer about the show having already had gay characters, but that information was never revealed to the viewers.
As, I noted at the time, "Um, okay. Then you don't really have gay characters, do you?"
Which is why I was very happy when watching this coming Sunday's episode and not only was Dexter going after a gay serial killer named Lance Robinson, but that killer was played by out actor Chad Allen (pictured right).
Allen first appears as Dexter's voice over intones, "Soon Lance Robinson will be on my table. Lance trolls the internet engaging in casual encounters with innocent...
