- Graduated from the Baden-Württemberg Film Academy (Ludwigsburg, Germany) and La Fémis (Paris, France) as producer in 2004.
- Graduated from the Academy of Drama and Film (Budapest) as story editor and as director with the film Last Year For Ever (original title: Örök tavaly) in 2001. At the Academy, his was member of the class led by Academy Award Winner director István Szabó.
- Worked as the assistant of director Peter Greewaway at Delux Studios in Luxembourg in 2002.
- Between February 2005 and August 2010 Tamás had been working for Eurimages, the cinema fund of the Council of Europe. In 2005, he worked as a production support and strategy consultant at the Eurimages Fund's Headquarters in Strasbourg. From 2006 until August 2010, he was Member of the Management Board and the Representative of Hungary at Eurimages. As Member of the Board, Tamás evaluated more than a thousand international co-production projects.
- Worked with Cine-Regio, the Association of the European Regional Film Funds between 2006 and 2010.
