Ember Jessica Sandra Whitford was born and raised in North Battleford, Saskatchewan to lawyer, Eleanore Sunchild, and her father, George Whitford. She is a member of the Sweet Grass First Nation reservation and takes pride in representing her Indigenous heritage as an accomplished model and actress. She is also pursuing a psychology degree at the University of Saskatchewan.
Ember has traveled extensively as a model, with international engagements that have taken her to locations such as Fiji, different parts of Canada, and the United States. She has had the honor of walking the runway for renowned Indigenous designer Helen Oro, showcasing the beauty of Indigenous fashion.
Off the runway, Ember is an unwavering advocate for Missing and Murdered Indigenous Women. She is also a vocal supporter of mental health causes and an advocate for raising awareness about sexual abuse. She leverages her public platform to amplify the voices of those who are often unheard.
