Leading National Disability Advocate - Sector Spokesperson -Occasional Agitator - Problem Solver - Conductor of Hard Conversation's Comfortably - Proud Adult with Autism
Over 4.4 million Australians live with some form of disability. NDIS invests over $30 Billion in funded services Nationally.
I wear many hats. First and foremost I am a dad, husband, proud adult with Autism, carer and advocate for our sector throughout Australia. I also work with several organisations Nationally and on many projects. I often speak in the media and at events and I love to challenge and have the conversations others are too afraid to have for positive change and outcomes. I deliver the largest events for the Disability and NDIS sector ever seen in Australia's history, I work with service providers involved in the most complex cases, I support fundraising and charity events to raise funds for Paralympics Australia and if I can be an ambassador or support a great project I am always open to ideas.
As the Co-founder of Developing Australian Communities I work closely with people living with disability and ensure they are represented and leverage our huge events, as well as, major sponsors, and the government agencies that need support connecting with the community.
With over 25 years experience in the community services sector, my passion is both direct support client level contact and business development, organisational growth and projects. I have extensive NDIS experience and in governance, quality systems and executive management, training, extreme complex support needs, Mental Health, Forensics, Child Safety, Trauma and Crisis Care, Disability Services, Service Management and Leadership.
As the founder of Australian Communities I also lead an amazing organisation specialising in working with people that live with a complex combination of disability, mental health and behavioural support needs and their families.
You may have seen or heard me talking on over 500 items of coverage reaching over 20 Million via radio and TV this year alone. My passion is seeing the industry raise the bar and deliver a Disability Service Sector we can all be proud of, by connecting providers and participants and showcase the amazing options out there for all Australian looking to live a good life. The Royal Commission has shown Australia how much work needs to be done in the Disability Sector and the NDIS review is leading the way.
