In a recent interview with Crunchyroll, Heavenly Delusion director Hirotaka Mori shed light on his early involvement with the anime project, revealing that he pitched the project soon after the release of the manga’s first volume.
During the interview, Mori talked about his his admiration for Masakazu Ishiguro’s work, particularly Heavenly Delusion.
He reminisced about his initial encounter with the series during its serialization but admitted losing track due to professional commitments.
It was upon the release of the first volume that Mori found himself reimmersed in the world of Heavenly Delusion, prompting him to take action and pitch the project for an anime adaptation.
Reflecting on the production process, Mori candidly shared the most challenging aspect of adapting it into an anime, which, according to him was the task of wrapping up the story arc in Season 1, especially considering that the manga was still ongoing at the time.

Kentaro Miura was one of the most decorated mangaka ever. His creation, Berserk, is one of the most iconic anime in the seinen genre. Unfortunately, he passed away, leaving his magnum opus incomplete. But thankfully, his friend, Kouji Mori, has picked up where he left off. Berserk follows the journey of Guts towards the path of redemption.
Berserk has one of the most gruelling plots, and the protagonist has to suffer a lot. There was almost no happiness left for him after his friend betrayed him. When Kentaro Miura was asked what kind of ending Berserk would have, he gave an unclear answer. He opted for a neutral answer, and the fans started to believe that Guts might finally be at peace.

About a month ago, “The Sympathizer” star Fred Nguyen Khan lost his grandmother.
She was a Vietnamese refugee who sought asylum in Canada, enduring a “staggered escape” that left her and her siblings terrified they wouldn’t survive or see each other again. But were it not for the show, in which Khan now plays a refugee himself, he may never have heard that story.
Set at the end of the Vietnam War, “The Sympathizer” follows a captain in the U.S.-backed South Vietnamese army (Hoa Xuande) who’s secretly spying for the North Vietnamese communists. As Saigon falls and the U.S. retreats, the Captain (as he’s called throughout) remains embedded and escapes to the Los Angeles while continuing to report back to his side about the dealings of the General (Toan Le) and his men — including one of his best friends, Bon (Khan), who knows nothing...

This The Sympathizer review contains no spoilers.
Celebrated South Korean filmmaker Park Chan-wook takes his auteur-driven vision to HBO with the new television series The Sympathizer. Adapting the Pulitzer Prize-winning 2015 novel of the same name by Viet Thanh Nguyen, the series follows a Vietnamese double agent after he flees the country, finding himself drawn deep into a strange juxtaposition of espionage and Hollywood filmmaking. With its off-kilter tone and a quartet of wonderfully weird performances from co-star and executive producer Robert Downey, Jr., The Sympathizer may not be everyone’s cup of tea but, what it does, it does very well.
The Sympathizer opens under the backdrop of the fall of Saigon in 1975, following an unnamed protagonist known and credited simply as “The Captain,” played by Hoa Xuande. Secretly working as a double agent on behalf of the North Vietnamese government, the Captain serves as the right-hand man for a...

It was previously announced that Studio Eclypse is remaking Kentaro Miura’s hit manga series, Berserk, with the title, Berserk: The Black Swordsman. Recently, the studio released a new key visual on their official X (Formerly Twitter) account for the new trailer which will be released in May 2024.
Berserk
But that’s not all. It has also been revealed that Berserk will return with chapter 376 in Young Animal magazine issues 9–10 on April 26, 2024. This will be the first time fans will receive a new chapter in four months. The chapter will be introduced with a color page, but no other information has been disclosed.
Berserk is one of the best manga series out there, but it has never got a decent anime adaptation that could do justice to Miura’s magnum opus. Therefore fans have a lot of expectations from Berserk: The Black Swordsman. As soon as this double-good news hit the internet,...

From the tip of his pompadour to the heels of his boots there is no mistaking Dandy for a serious man. His adventures include hunting for galactic ramen, brokering peace between clothing-obsessed aliens and participating in a high school musical. So it comes as a surprise that the eleventh episode of Space Dandy , the show that bears his name, is quite serious indeed. It begins with Dandy holding a box he can’t remember acquiring. When his boss Scarlet opens it by mistake, the world turns red and then monochrome. Inside the box is a mysterious book. That’s just the start. “I’m Never Remembering You, Baby” is one of the most unsettling episodes in the series. It portrays Dandy as not foolish but unreliable and vulnerable as well. He travels to a planet that substitutes the show’s typical bright colors for crumbling charcoal architecture. Meanwhile, Dandy’s archnemesis,...
