Left winger with the National Hockey League's Edmonton Oilers (1979-1980
thru 1986-1987), Hartford Whalers (1986-1987), and Toronto Maple Leafs
(1987-1988).
After retiring, he became a commentator on Oilers radio broadcasts.
Best known as Wayne Gretzky's bodyguard on the ice. He was 6'3" tall and weighed 215 pounds, earning the nickname "Cemen"t. When Gretzky won MVP honors at the 1983 NHL All-Star Game, he gave the car he won to Semenko to show his appreciation for his teammate's work.
