Born with spina bifida, he was known as a comedian, artist, and
activist for the rights of the physically disabled. For twelve years,
he was the general manager of the Comedy Store in LaJolla, California
before moving to Los Angeles. He died in his sleep while on a cruise
ship in Puget Sound; he was survived by his mother and siblings.
