He is the youngest member of his family and has an older brother named Luke Paugh.
Owen grew up loving all things theater, music, and movies. Growing up in a household that heavily supported anything and everything he wanted to do, Owen tried his hand at many different things. Baseball, Soccer, Football and Theater. It wasn't until middle school where during his seventh grade production of Little Mermaid (2017) he was asked with a 3 days notice to take on the role of King Triton. From that point forward Owen was hooked on musical theater and wanting to be an Actor.
During his high school years Owen played many different roles in his high school theater and drama department. Known for his sense of humor and quick response improvisation, his senior year of high school Owen landed one of his dream roles playing the role of Lonny Barnett in Rock of Ages. Before taking on Lonny as a senior Owen was in Grease his freshman year of high school and was casted as the police officer in Mary Poppins in 2020 but the show was canceled due to covid. Owen often credits playing Lonny in Rock of Ages as his start of a true acting career.
After graduating high school Owen attended Frederick Community College in Frederick, Maryland and decided to study Film and Video Production. Being in a film and video class in high school led him to make this decision as he got into college. From a young age Owen has always loved the art of filmmaking and the movie going experience. To better understand screen acting he continued with Film and Video Production. This decision led Owen to his first student made short film, playing the role of Zach Miller in Happy Together (2023) which he co wrote, starred in, and helped produce. It was a hit at the student film festival and this led to Owen realizing that he wanted to fully pursue an acting career on stage and on screen.
Since Happy Together (2023) Owen has auditioned for Disney Cruise Line, Netflix, and various TV commercials. Owen was also in Sweeney Todd: The Demon Barber of Fleet Street during the fall of his sophomore year in college at Other Voices Theater in Frederick, Maryland. Most recently Owen was in a civil war amateur short film (Act of War 2024).
