Rogue has picked up "Drill Team", a spec from Gregory Anderson, for Adam Shankman's Offspring Entertainment to produce.
A female-driven teen dance movie set in the competitive world of high school drill teams, the film revolves around two rival sisters who lead their competing high schools to the national championships.
Shankman is producing with Offspring partner Jennifer Gibgot. The company's Matthew Mizel brought in the project. Anderson's Tri Destined Films also is involved in a producer capacity.
The deal was in the low-six figures.
Alex Heineman and Paul Getto will oversee.
Offspring and Anderson have street cred in the dance-movie genre, which are made with low overhead and offer big yields.
Anderson wrote the original draft of "Stomp the Yard", which focused on the world of step-dancing. The movie was made for $14 million and grossed more than $74 million worldwide.
Offspring is behind the "Step Up" series, whose most recent film, "Step Up 2 the Streets", grossed $150 million worldwide and cost about $20 million.

Rogue Pictures has pre-emptively bought the comedy spec "B.F.F". from husband-and-wife writing team Chad Gomez Creasey and Dara Resnik Creasey.
The project is described as a raunchy teen romantic comedy about a nerdy freshman guy and a popular freshman girl. Taking place over four years of high school, four proms and one funeral, the two become friends and eventually fall in love.
The pair met in the Peter Stark Producing Program class of 2003 at USC, where they made the short "Great Lengths", which won two awards at the 2004 WorldFest Houston.
Beau Bauman and Jesse Israel -- fellow Stark grads -- are producing "B.F.F".
Rogue's Adrienne Biddle, also a Stark graduate, is shepherding the project alongside Paul Getto and Andrew Rona.
Bauman recently set up the comedies "American Storage" at Paramount Vantage and Seth Gordon's "The King of Kong" at New Line Cinema. "B.F.F". will be produced under Bauman's Tower of Babble Entertainment banner. Israel is producing the historical drama "The Great Blondin".
The Creaseys are staff writers for Aaron Sorkin's "Studio 60 on the Sunset Strip". Chad Gomez Creasey's script "Sydney White", starring Amanda Bynes, will be released this year by Universal Pictures.

Rogue Pictures has picked up an untitled adult sex comedy pitch to be written by Erik Lindsay. Joe Nussbaum is on board to direct. While plot details are being kept under wraps, it is known that the main character is a guy in his mid- to late-20s as opposed to the usual sex comedies that center on high school or college-aged protagonists. Paul Getto, who brought the project in, will oversee with Andrew Rona. The comedy reteams Lindsay and Nussbaum, who are behind the company's upcoming American Pie 5: The Naked Mile. Lindsay wrote Mile as a spec, and Rogue turned it into an installment of the moneymaking "Pie" franchise. Rogue is so high on Mile that executives there wanted the two to work for them again.
