Director/ writer Simon Eales cut his film-making teeth on community arts and locally- funded documentary work in his then home base of Buckinghamshire UK, under the banner of Respectable Films. These were followed by two independent features _Eden Song (2001)_qv and _Letters From Nebraska ( 2002)_qv. The former, a celebration of the work of poet Thomas Traherne, he describes as 'an English collage' while the latter, a snapshot of the American pioneer experience, is a reflection of his interest in US history and culture. His writing covers a variety of media including fiction, non-fiction and scriptwritng. He has been published in a variety of journals, has won prizes for his short fiction and is a past nominee of the British Diversity Awards. Simon has just finished principal photography on the documentary feature 'What If They Gave A Revolution And Everybody Came?', which showcases the music-related work and remarkable life of renowned photographer Peter Sanders, in addition to the short documentary 'Trader Horne: Morning Way Revisited' which celebrates the reunion of late sixties cult music duo Trader Horne. The first films of a revived Respectable Films.
