- Han Peekel was born on October 6, 1947 in Rotterdam, Zuid-Holland, Netherlands. He was a writer and director, known for Anton Mussert - Gehaat en Veracht (2010), TV Monument (2007) and Dood eind (2006). He died on December 13, 2022 in Netherlands.
- In 1977 he received an Edison Award for the program Who wants to sing in the Netherlands (Wie in Nederland wil zingen), a chronicle of Dutch cabaret.
