In 1994, Brandon played The Wolf in Borah High School's production of Into The Woods and fell in love with the theatre.
Brandon continued to act in numerous plays, musicals, and operas while attending the College of Idaho from 1994-2000 (taking 2 years from 1995-1997 to serve a mission for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in Bacolod, Negros Occidental, Philippines).
Brandon graduated from the College of Idaho in 2000 with degrees in Vocal Performance, Music Theory and Composition, and Theatre.
Brandon designed his own master's program in interactive audio and media design through the Masters in Immersive Mediated Environments (MIME) program at Indiana University, Bloomington, graduating in 2004.
He has been married to Kristy Ricks since October 31, 1998. They have four children.
