Marie-Eva Volmar was born on February 5th, 1990, in the small town of Saint-Michel de l'Attalaye, Haiti. Her early life was marked by tragedy, as she lost both of her parents at a tender age. Marie-Eva was placed in an orphanage in Port-au-Prince, where she spent several years before being adopted by two middle-class Canadians at the age of three. Her adoptive parents renamed her Bianca Bisson, but Marie-Eva later reclaimed her Haitian identity by changing her name back to Marie-Eva Volmar. Her commitment to her heritage is evident in all aspects of her life and work.
Marie-Eva's love for the arts was apparent from an early age. She excelled in writing and literature, winning small prizes for her profound poems in elementary school. At the age of 14, she began experimenting with music production using Fruity Loops Studio. By the age of 18, she had set up her own home recording studio. As a musician and producer, Marie-Eva has collaborated with underground artists on platforms such as ccMixter and SoundCloud under the stage name Official NC FX. Her music is characterized by its passion, creativity, and desire to raise awareness and promote healing.
Marie-Eva's first taste of filmmaking came through an English class project in high school. Together with two classmates, she co-wrote and acted in a short film that explored themes of weight loss and self-image. While the film may not have been a technical masterpiece, it ignited a passion for filmmaking that would shape her future path.
After graduating from high school, Marie-Eva continued to explore her passion for film and music. She created music videos, produced documentary-style videos for her tech companies, and developed proficiency in video editing software. Her eagerness to learn and embrace new technologies allowed her to gain valuable experience in the filmmaking process.
Marie-Eva founded Dallada Films, a production company dedicated to telling unique stories that explore themes of identity, belonging, and the human experience. Through Dallada Films, she aims to amplify diverse voices and create inclusive narratives that resonate with audiences around the world.
