Roadside Attractions co-presidents Howard Cohen and Eric d'Arbeloff have acquired U.S. theatrical and television rights to actress-comedian Sarah Silverman's concert film, Sarah Silverman: Jesus Is Magic. Based on Silverman's off-Broadway show, the film was an official selection at both the 2005 U.S. Comedy Arts and SXSW film festivals. "She's the most original voice working in comedy today," Cohen said. "She's political, fearless and hilarious all at once. She is genuinely subversive. And the truth is, guys find her hot." Sarah Silverman: Jesus Is Magic is written by Silverman, directed by Liam Lynch and produced by Heidi Herzon, Mark Williams and Randy Sosin. Lynch, who is in production on the feature Tenacious D In: The Pick of Destiny, collaborated with Silverman to adapt her show for the screen.
