Paul G. Scanlan was born in Stockton, CA, the son of Elaine and Lloyd Scanlan. At the age of 19 he enlisted in the United States Navy and moved to San Diego, CA where he served 19 of his 25 years and now calls home.
In 2017 he formed WTUS alongside co-creator Joe Cantrell, and between 2020-2021 they pumped out over 28 episodes, four shorts, and countless live streams including the now infamous 16 hour live 2021 New Years Eve telethon.
Upon retiring from the USN in 2022, Paul enrolled in Grossmont College in San Diego, CA where he studied Media Communications with an emphasis on film.
His passion for creating, writing, directing and acting led him to form Big Gringo Productions, a subsidiary of WTUS with Yoshi Castillo at the helm as Head Writer and Director. Current Big Gringo Productions in work include short film WTUS lives on and the series The Downfall of Benevolence.
