Hartley CW's king of seas as Aquaman
The CW network's untitled Aquaman project has netted a new leading man. In a major recasting, Justin Hartley has been tapped to play the title role in the drama pilot from Warner Bros. Television. Hartley replaces Will Toale, who originally was cast in the role when the pilot was ordered by WB Network.

Toale dives in as WB Net's 'Aquaman'
Newcomer Will Toale has been tapped to play the title character in Aquaman, WB Network's drama project based on the DC Comics character. With Toale on board, the Warner Bros. Television project, originally picked up with a put pilot commitment, has been ordered to pilot. In other pilot pickup news, Fox has given the nod to Damages, a drama from 20th Century Fox Television, and CBS has greenlighted Company Town, a drama from Paramount Network Television. Aquaman, from Smallville executive producers-showrunners Miles Millar and Alfred Gough, is described as a contemporary reinterpretation of the character who lives in the deep sea and enlists oceanic creatures to help him in his crime-fighting endeavors (HR 11/14).
