Sarah Hade is a film composer, piano tutor, and pianist from South Dublin. Sarah's style ranges from 20th century contemporary to minimalism and contemporary classical. She also likes to explore electronic music and fusing styles such as classical and Irish traditional music.
Sarah's latest project was scoring the music for 'Vengeance of the Brotherhood' (2023). What is more, Sarah has worked on various projects working as a composer's assistant for Eímear Noone and Craig Stuart Garfinkle. These range from Canterville Ghost (2023), Maxine (2021), The Wee Littles series (2022) and the Legends of the Hidden Temple series (2021-2022). In 2023, Sarah arranged and orchestrated a piece for the Daughters of the Pirate Queen concert at the National Concert Hall, Dublin. She also co-arranged and orchestrated a Nintendo Suite with Eímear Noone which premiered this year performed by the Royal Scottish National Orchestra and the BBC National Orchestra of Wales.
In 2021, she completed her Masters in Music & Media Technologies at Trinity College Dublin. Sarah's interest in writing music began as a young child meddling with melodies and improvisation to create short piano pieces. From this she discovered her unique style and passion for film scoring. Among her influences are Debussy, Stravinsky, Philip Glass, Ludovico Einaudi and Alexandre Desplat.
In 2021, Sarah was a runner up (top 5) in Westwood's The Lost Piano Short Film Scoring Competition. In April 2020, Sarah was ranked in the top 100 in the 'Score The World' contest. In 2020, she collaborated on scoring for 'Pandemonium: Wrath of the Antichrist' written and directed by Jonathan Thomas Dozier.
Sarah's music has been performed at Maynooth University's 'Electroacoustic Lunchtime Concert' in 2017 'SpectroImmersion' concert (2018) and 'Shortcuts Concert' in February 2019 in addition to various church events. Additionally, in November 2018, Hade and her 'M4Tech' colleagues composed, recorded and produced the single 'Heroes' in aid of Ronald McDonald House Charity to fundraise for their campaign which turned out to be a great success.
When she's not composing or reading film scores, she enjoys cooking, running and playing piano. What is more, Sarah is very involved in her church community as a member of the music and production team. Sarah also assists in leading the youth ministry group.
