Veena Bangera is an Indian film and stage actress, who predominantly works in the Hindi film industry, in commercial cinema. Veena was born and grew up in Mumbai.
She has trained under tutelage of actors from National School of Drama, India. She started her acting journey with theatre productions in Singapore. Over the years, Veena's acting prowess made her one of the most recognizable faces on stage in Singapore. She has an appreciable body of work in Hindi, English and Tamil theatre productions in Singapore and India.
Veena got her first film role as the lead in the 2019 short film 'Secret Recipe' made by a LaSalle College of Arts student in Singapore. She then was seen in the 2020 anthology experimental film 'Vesta' directed by Shilpa Krishnan Shukla. In 2022, Veena played the lead in 'Nirjhari' directed by Rishi Budhrani which won her Best Actress at the Goa Film Festival organised by Karnataka Film Academy. In 2023, she did a cameo role in the Hindi film 'The Era of 1990' directed by Shahid Kazmi.
She will next be seen in 'The B-Town Case', 'Lahora the Kingdom' and 'Saahasi' directed by Zafar Anjum.
