Smitha Ram

Smitha was born in India, raised in Zambia for the first six years of her life, and migrated to Australia with her family at the age of seven. A performer since the age of five, she debuted as the 'Mole' in a local theater production of The Wind in The Willows in Ndola, Zambia. Smitha moved from Sydney to New York in 2017 to pursue a career in social justice communications, where she rekindled her love for acting by joining the Kiley Ensemble Theater Group. Since moving to New York, Smitha has appeared in two short SAG-AFTRA films, including "Patricia Says Goodbye" (2022) and "Fundamental Shapes" (2023). She was cast in an off-Broadway production of Shakespeare's "Twelfth Night" in 2022. In October 2023, Smitha was cast in a leading role in The Mechanicals' off-Broadway world-premiere of "Gothic Hour".
