Donté Ashon Green(II)
Donté Ashon Green is an L.A. based Artist and Activist. His origin begins in Detroit, MI where he was raised by his grandmother, a relative and caretaker to the historical legend, Rosa Parks. At an early age, he realized that his relation to his cousin, Rosie, inspired him to use his gifts to bring change to the world. A natural born creative he produces art that is tender, raw and honest. His artistry excels in educating and bringing awareness to inequalities of Black Americans. He utilizes his charm, heart and truth as an invitation to encourage and inspire people to embody the personification of love and always act from that place.
He has found success with workshops and staged readings in the L.A. theater area. Working with names such as the late Academy Award Winning Actor Ed Asner and Actress Ruta Lee(Another Gin Game), Emmy Award Winning Actor Joe Morton and Director John Gould Rubin(King Lear). He has also performed alongside Glees' Grammy Nominated Alex Newell on a unique production of Dreamgirls Live on Clubhouse. Most recently seen workshopping a new play entitled The U-N-O Competitor written by playwright James Anthony Tyler and continuing his work on Another Gin Game starring Ruta Lee and Emmy Award Winning Actor Hal Linden in Beverly Hills. Most recently seen playing Arkadina in an unconventional adaptation of The Seagull by Anton Chekhov.
He is a gifted actor, writer, storyteller and public speaker, whether it be through spoken word, motivational speeches or hosting. He is moderately active, enjoys going dancing, swimming, shopping and talking on the phone to his grandmother. Donté continues the legacy of his lineage by planting seeds of growth, love, equity and equality for the sake of humanity.
